'Grand Canyon' To Be Filled At Hoover School Playground; Mostly Caused By Rains.
Gaping Upward...on the hilly Hoover School yard is the hole washed out by heavy rains. The picture was taken from the second playground level.

Hoover School...was the first new educational building in Council Bluffs since 1939. It was constructed in October of 1950. Soon after it was built, many other schools began going up in the city.
