Hoover remodeling includes relocation of main entrance

Renovation and construction at Hoover Elementary, 1205 North Broadway, is estimated to cost about $1.77 million. Hoover is one of four buildings included in Phase 1 of the Council Bluffs Community Schools' Elementary Improvement Program. Work at all four buildings is estimated to cost more than $6.5 million. Parking lots at each end of the building in the top drawing will not be completed as part of the first phase. The current main entrance can be seen in the center of the building in the cross-section drawing. The main entrance will be moved to the double doors at the left, near the gym. In the south elevation drawing at bottom, the two new areas are shaded at right.
