Work is now underway on the new $458,040 Washington School. A dirt loader is being used in the excavation work by Andersen Construction Company, general contractors. The new school will face Scott Street. The present school is in the background.

Today...the same location has taken on a different look. Where the Harris wood lot stood, a fill has been made to bring the playground of Washington School up to the old school, now removed. A part of the new school building shows at left.
