Servicing equipment on the Milwaukee Road's "America's Bicentennial" engine was one of Willard Johnson's jobs Friday. The locomotive stopped for service in Council Bluffs en route to another point on the Milwaukee system.

37 Cars Of Milwaukee Derailed Near Persis
A Huge Cleanup Job...faced Milwaukee work crews as they started removing wreckage of the 37-car derailment at the Mosquito Creek bridge near Persia. A section of the badly damaged bridge is visible in the center of the picture.
