Work Progressing On River Bridge

Description
Closed since the middle of April, the South Omaha Bridge has been undergoing major repairs with new surfacing on the deck plus cleaning and painting. Highways 92 and 275 have been detoured until the work is complete. Job Supt. George Grower of Ely Construction said work is progressing well, and they may be able to open the bridge to traffic yet this year, depending on weather and other variables. Contract for the work gives until late spring to complete the job.
