Description

From the small (the "economy-size" vehicles of the Shrine Patrol of Harlan) to the tall (a working replica of the Neola Grain Co. elevator,) Monday's Neola Centennial Parade provided a big draw to Labor Day crowds. The Neola Grain float was open class category winner in the parade contest, judge by area news media representatives. Other category winners were: religious float, St. Patrick's Catholic Church; humorous float, "The Ice Cream Social 1882," Allied Communications Equipment; theme float, "From Rocker To Rocker," Farmers and Merchants State Bank; horse hitch, Martin's Seeds; antique vehicle, 1957 Ford retractable hardtop convertible, Wayne Hadfield, Omaha.
