Description
This is the first of three Atlas intercontinental ballistic missiles for the base near Missouri Valley. The Atlas, shown here upon arrival at the launching site, was trucked on a special trailer Wednesday from Offutt Air Force Base. The weapon is more than 82 feet long and varies between 10 and 16 feet wide.
