Description

The roadways and paths made by construction machinery at the Atlas missile site southeast of Missouri Valley provide an interesting geometric study in this aerial picture. The Army Engineers, who are building the base, said Tuesday that construction is more than 70 percent completed. The finish is seen for mid-summer. The buildings that house the power and control centers are virtually finished, and at the present time ground testing of the power loading fueling system at all three launchers is being conducted.
