Depicting noteworthy scenes and people in Council Bluffs history, the mural on the Hite Center at 542 W. Broadway was completed this week by artist Mike Branigan. Branigan is leaving the area next week to start art classes in Minneapolis.

These balloons painted on the old JC Penney building at 542 W. Broadway are scheduled to be painted over with a new mural depicting Council Bluffs history.

With Plans In Hand . . . Fred and Dee Hite are turning the old J.C. Penney building into a mini shopping mall. The owners of O.G.Craft Shop, 540 W. Broadway, are doing much of the work themselves.
