Washington School Being Replaced
Work is now underway on the new $458,040 Washington School. A dirt loader is being used in the excavation work by Andersen Construction Company, general contractors. The new school will face Scott Street. The present school is in the background.
Work continues on gym despite letter from fire marshal
Franklin Youngsters...still use the playground outside their old school built in 1892. The School Board has ordered the district to reopen the old gymnasium on the right, as the new Franklin School has no gym.
