These three sun-hardened faces belong to a trio of Mississippi men, members of a civilian crew attached to the Army engineers on special flood duty in Council Bluffs. The "red-necks" as they call themselves, are, left to right, Bill Tate of Natchez, MS and J.L Odum and Jim Peyton, both of Greenville, MS.
