Description

(top) The Stage Depot . . . at the tiny Iowa Historical Museum on the fringe of Missouri Valley is a log cabin built around 1856. It contains a medley of pioneer relics. Pictured is caretaker George Cassidy.

(mid) This Spinning Wheel, Old Rocker And Stone Fireplace . . . are some of the articles displayed in the "stage depot." The museum is scheduled to close Saturday for the winter.

(bot) The Old Schoolhouse At The Museum . . . was in use near Logan from 1868 until 1959. It could still probably handle a room full of children except that the pot-bellied stove in the corner would probably fry them sitting close to it while students farther away would freeze.
