Description

(top) 18th Century Ensembles . . . are worn by members of the Minden Centennial Committee. Mrs. Paul Nihsen is wearing a brown and camel two-piece winter suit with velvet inserts. The fan she is using is bamboo and linen. Mrs. Larry Siebels models a brown polished cotton skirt with an ivory and brown linen lace blouse and carrying a brown beaded purse, all of the 1900 era. Mrs. Jerry Zimmerman is dressed in an 1875 blue velvet wedding gown trimmed in tan lace. Her feather fan is also from the late 1800s.

(bottom) Dressed In Period Costumes . . . these Centennial dolls have been collected by Mrs. Orville Wedel, chairman of the doll committee. More than 200 dolls will be offered for sale as souvenirs of the Minden Centennial celebration.
