Showing Off His New Bicycle . . . is Wes Jespersen, 102 1/2 W. Broadway. Jespersen was given $110 by Manawa residents in appreciation of his volunteer work in cleaning up litter around the lake. The money was used to buy a new three-speed bicycle.

Sacking Trash . . . in the Bennett Avenue area is self-appointed ecologist Wes Jespersen. His trusty bike waits for him to finish the work day.

A Key To The City . . . is presented by Mayor Raymond Pogge to Wes Jespersen, who was honored for efforts in beautifying the city. He also received the Operation Pride Pine Award and was named volunteer of the month.
