Description

Evelyn Kahl, sister of Col. Melvin J. Killian, hold a 1945 picture of her brother taken shortly after he received his wings from the U.S. Army Air Corps. Killian was 23 at the time. Mrs. Kahl's husband, Otto, is at right. Killian's remains were identified by the U.S. Army Tuesday. He was shot down over North Vietnam in 1965.
