Description

Giant earth movers south of Council Bluffs along the Interstate 29 route that will eventually link the Bluffs with Kansas City, MO, have gouged out almost an entire hill in their quest for fill dirt. John Thielan, Neola, job foreman for Dusenberg Construction Co., of Clear Lake, said grading from Highway 370 south to Bartlett should be completed by fall, weather permitting. This view looks directly west. Interstate is white line near top of picture parallel to horizon.
