Description
Hilt Truck Lines officially broke ground for its new terminal on 6.7 acres of ground near Thirty-fifth Street and Fourteenth Avenue Thursday afternoon. Participating in the ceremony are LeRoy Hilt, president, Robert Hilt, vice president, Ronald Kiger, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Walt Hathaway and Thomas Hilt, traffic manager. Building and grounds will be readied in 3 1/2 months by Stueffer Bros. Construction Co. of Lincoln, Neb. Five other freight lines will have offices in the firm's building. The Hilt firm will eventually employ 100 people with an annual payroll of about $1 million.
