Council Bluffs Changing Scene: Back in 1898, the John Beno and Co. store occupied from 28 to 26 S. Main St. Founder John Beno started business here in 1866. This is one of the illustrations in the booklet published on the the Trans-Mississippi and International exposition in 1898. The booklet belongs to Roy I. Rasmussen, 1335 Fairmount Ave.
