Council Bluffs Changing Scene: Back in 1898 the John Clausen Transfer House occupied part of a frame building at 1218 S. 6th St. Three Eastern companies used the remaining space as a warehouse for farm implements, fancy carriages, surreys and other horse-drawn equipment.
