Description
Lawren Rushenberg, manager of Harlan Municipal Airport, watches planes land and take off as he stands amid grading work preceding construction of a new runway. The project, at the approximate cost of $700,000, shared by the city of Harlan, the federal government and the state, will be a runway 60 by 3,400 feet when complete - possibly within a month - Rushenberg said. The present runway is 200 by 2,700 feet.
