Description

Maps of Four Areas . . . selected for the Mechanical Bag Retriever (MBR) pilot program of garbage collection also show on which days collections will be made. Residents of these areas will be receiving free plastic bags on Sept. 10, enough for three bags per week. While the pilot program will not actually begin until October, Public Works Director Maurice Pearce said residents should begin using the plastic bags as soon as they receive them.
Under the new system, there will be unlimited collection of garbage and refuse. Residents will place filled bags on the parking in front of their homes by 8 a.m. on collection day.
