Description

Construction of the new sanctuary of First Church of the Nazarene, Twenty-sixth Street and Avenue A, is well under way. A construction crane this week put arches and purlins in place which will support the roof. The Rev. A.D. Foster, pastor of the church, was unexpectedly caught in action assisting Alozo Sapp, a lumberyard delivery man, unload lumber.
The pastor said the $300,000 project is a couple of months behind schedule, but he believes the room will be enclosed within a few weeks. An Easter, 1978 completion date is expected.
