Painting the fire plugs in the Hoover School area Wednesday are Lori Ferris, Greg Spence, Laura Plummer and about 50 of their summer school classmates.
Other groups will paint plugs in a Bicentennial theme along Broadway, Main and Pearl streets this summer. Contributions for paint and supplies came from the Chamber of Commerce.
