Description

The ruins of these public baths will be viewed by members of The Nonpareil's European Holiday tour when they visit Rome, Aug. 5-8. In ancient times, Roman emperors contested with each other to build the biggest and most luxurious baths. In the Fourth Century, there were 11 large and 926 small public bath structures in Rome, capable of handling 60,000 persons at one time. The Nonpareil tour will leave Council Bluffs July 25, visit seven countries of the "Old World" and return Aug. 15. For further information, call or write the Travel Editor, 30 Pearl St. Council Bluffs. The phone number is 4061, extension 33.
