Description
The Severely Handicapped Need Parties...to pep up their spirits for the strenuous routine of their daily training. Al east the children think it's a party they have for an hour every Friday afternoon. Actually it is just another tool the staff uses to help the boys and girls live as if they had vision and were able to communicate like other youngsters their age. The parties are not elaborate. In this one the meal consists entirely of fresh fruit. "Sometimes things go slightly awry," Miss Talbot reports, "like the time we tried to serve waffles and syrup."
