Description

The IBP plant at 2700 23rd Ave. in Council Bluffs is one of the company's three pork slaughtering and processing sites in Iowa. IBP officials used a $738,000 Iowa community economic betterment account grant to increase the work force at the plant by nearly 200 employees. The plant employs slightly more than 500 workers and has an annual payroll of more than $7 million.
