Frank Seidler Jr. and Darrell Seidler, who operate Seidler Brothers' Feed Lot on Route 4, receive a check for the first steer slaughtered at Beefland International from William Shannon, vice president in charge of procurement. The steer was slaughtered for Council Bluffs Savings Bank represented by Ed Spetman Jr., president of the bank. Since Dec. 26, six cattle have been test run through the plant which plans full-scale operation about the third week in January.
