Description
Work on the ski run and lodge at the Crescent Ski Hills northeast of Crescent is moving along rapidly but contractors and owners alike are hoping for continued good weather for the balance of November to assure completion by early winder [sic]. Above picture, taken from the lower part of the run, shows the lodge under construction in the center background. Pipe line to left of the lodge will carry water from the well to be located in service building, yet to be built. The water will be forced up an underground pipeline along the run to provide artificial snow. This will make skiing possible about five to six months out of the year. Poles in foreground are part of lighting system for the run as well as part of the electric tow system from the bottom to the peak of the long bluff. Owners expect to have the run in operation by Dec. 15.
