Launched at Wilmington, Calif., it was the last vessel of its kind built by the California Shipbuilding corporation. Standing beside Mrs. Warren are the wife of her eldest son, Mrs. James Warren, who was matron of honor; Mayor W.A. Byers of Council Bluffs; and Gov. Warren. At right the ship slides down the ways.
