This picture shows the section of the bridge between a paving machine and the Nebraska abutment, which is partially decked. Other work to be done includes some curb and median, small sections of expansion joints and the usual cleanup, to complete the 2, 4362-foot span. Work started on the decking March 1 and should be completed by Nov. 1, Supt. Harold Tompkins said. Nebraska in the meantime is working on the paving that will connect the bridge and existing route I-80.
