Pearson, who spoke before Southwest Iowa Teachers here on Oct. 13, 1938, died leaving at least seven wills - but only one witnessed. That was written here at the Hotel Chieftain on the back of a Postal Telegraph Co. press blank, and was also attested to by H. Arthur Lee, journalism instructor at Abraham Lincoln High School.
