<dcterms:description><![CDATA[Where The New Levee Goes - This map designates the location of the Missouri river levee south of Council Bluffs and the three governing bodies under whom it will fall. These bodies have the responsibility of providing land for levee right-of-way and borrow pits, and then assuming their future maintenance. The city has responsibility of levee from the Union Pacific bridge to the south city limits plus that of the new Indian creek channel running south out of the city. The Sieck levee district takes from the city limits to the mouth of Mosquito creek; and Mosquito creek drainage district takes from the mouth of the creek to high ground. The controversial bridge on highway 275 is in the map's center over Indian creek. City and state will share its cost. Map is by the U.S. army engineers.]]></dcterms:description>
