Charles Floyd, the first American soldier to die west of the Mississippi River and the only fatality of the historic Lewis &amp; Clark expedition of 1804-06. Funds raised from the medallion&#039;s sale will be used to develop a center at the Floyd Monument in Sioux City. Persons wishing the medallions can write to the association at Box 1804 in Sioux City.]]></dcterms:description>
