The excavation is in the De Soto Bend wildlife refuge and is by Jesse Pursell and Sam Corbino of Omaha who hope the wreckage is that of the Bertrand, which sand around 1865.  The river has since changed its course and the boat had become covered by several feet of sand.]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Holy Family Church . . . has been a longtime landmark on the corner 0f 2300 Avenue B and this month is commemorating its 75th anniversary. When it was founded, it was the only Catholic Church on the west side of Council Bluffs. Few changes have been made in the brick exterior, except for the front steps at the entrance facing Avenue B. Parishioners can now ascend steps on either side of the brick wall.]]></dcterms:description>
