Bain looks over the old park site.  The little train ran over this area.  The high-gabled house, once a concession stand and the rock flower bed are the only remaining landmarks of the old days. Built in 1896 on the south shore it doubled as a recreation and dining hall.  The platform extending over the water collapsed in 1906 and six people were killed.  The entire pavilion burned down 20 years later.  This postcard photo taken in 1900 was loaned to The Nonpareil by A. W. Huber of 122 W. Broadway.]]></dcterms:description>
