    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[President of the Union Pacific railroad is William M. Jeffers, who started railroading with the Union Pacific as a messenger and call boy at North Platte, Neb. Later he was progressively named telegrapher, clerk, chief dispatcher at North Platte, trainmaster at Green River, Wyo., and Denver, then assistant superintendent and superintendent at Green River. In 1911 he became superintendent of the consolidated division extending from Cheyenne to Ogden, and in 1916 headed the Omaha division. Later in the same year he was named general manager of the railroad. In 1928 he was made vice president in charge of operations. In 1937 he was named president on the retirement of Carl Gray. ]]></dcterms:description>

The structure, which consisted of two sections housing the Picky Nicky Cafe and Herman&#039;s Clothes Shop, was demolished Sunday after the city ruled it unsafe.
