I believe we&#039;ll have a substantial number of motor hotels in the future. If we have these facilities for convention purposes, we&#039;ll certainly need an auditorium&quot;. Councilman Kenneth Jensen opposed building a new auditorium. &quot;We have too many other needs - swimming pools and a fire station. The cabin, a gift from Charles Gipples, was originally built by a John Gingery and had been used as a school in the mid-1860s.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Atlantic Police, Iowa State Patrol and Cass County Sheriff&#039;s officers escort Dennis Edward Elliott, 28, of Red Oak from Cappel&#039;s Ace Hardware Store in Atlantic after and eight-hour standoff Tuesday morning. Elliott and Morgan Lee Jensen, 21, of Macedonia were charged with second-degree burglary after police caught them in the store early Tuesday morning. Jensen gave himself up, but Elliott remained in the store until shortly after 9 a.m. when officers entered and found him hiding under clothing on a shelf. Cass County Magistrate William Miller set bond at $11,500 each.  Both men are being held in Cass County Jail, with preliminary hearing set for Tuesday.]]></dcterms:description>
